PRIVACY POLICY
Personally Identifying Information: Turing's Craft will not sell or rent your personally identifying information to any third party. We may briefly display student submitted code without any personally identifying information in public settings in rare instances. Turing's Craft will not transfer personally identifying information about you to third parties UNLESS:
We have asked for and received your consent to share the information, or
We are obliged to respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process.
Since our founding in 1999, neither of the above has ever happened.
Cookies: At this time Turing's Craft uses sessions but otherwise does not set or access cookies on your computer. Turing's Craft does not and will not set cookies that can be accessed by a non-Turing's Craft site nor will Turing's Craft permit the possibility of other companies setting cookies through our web pages.
Data retention: Any data that is retained is held solely for educational purposes.
Deletion of student data: Student data will be deleted upon request of the student or, in the case where a school has paid for the student, upon request of the school. Note: we do not have the facilities for authenticating third parties (such as parents) making such a request. It must come from the student or the school.
Securing student data: Student data is protected in transit and in storage by industry-standard encryption techniques.
Security breach response plan: We maintain and periodically review a segmented plan for response to any security breach. The plan is layered and places the security of the users and their associated data in the top tier. More details are available upon request.
Changes to this Privacy Policy: Turing's Craft may amend this policy in the future. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a highly visible announcement on our pages. Furthermore, use of any information obtained prior to the change in policy will be governed by the prior policy
